Mr. Nichols has been effectively helping individuals charged with crimes for over twenty two (22) years. He has successfully defended thousands of adults and juveniles charged with every type of misdemeanor and felony crime in courts throughout both California and New Mexico. With that expertise and experience brought to bear, he has developed numerous well established relationships with district attorneys and judges throughout Southern California. He has always been dedicated to pursuing the rights of his clients to the fullest extent of the law and intends to achieve the same results for you. Mr. Nichols received a Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, in Economics, at University of California at Los Angeles where he was elected to membership in Phi Beta Kappa. He received his Juris Doctor degree (cum laude) from Northwestern University School of Law. While at Northwestern University School of Law, he was a member of the editorial board for the Northwestern University Law Review. He still loves writing articles as evidenced by his article website, The Daily Stand. He is a member of the California and New Mexico State Bar Associations and the United States District Court, Central District and Eastern District of California. Mr. Nichols has served as Municipal Court Judge Pro-Tem and is a past Vice President and past Treasurer of the A.V. Criminal Defense Bar. He has authored legislation that was enacted into state law in New Mexico, South Dakota and Wyoming. He is active in both the legal and local communities. His political and social commentaries have been published in his weekly column "The Witness Stand" for the Santa Monica Daily Press. His articles are also archived at The Daily Stand. He is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Americanism Educational League; as well as Chairman of the Americanism Educational League Editorial Advisory Board and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Westside Pregnancy Clinic.
