Transportation of Drugs
Transportation occurs when one transports illegal drugs from one place to another. There must be knowledge of the presence of the object with the ability to exercise control over it. Transportation could either mean driving down the street with a small amount of illegal drugs / narcotics in your car or using an airplane to transport large amount of illegal drugs / narcotics across state lines. The latter act will generally be charged under federal law, and may include the charge of drug distribution.
Consequences may include:
