Domestic Violence
Violence within the family includes anyone who willfully inflicts corporal injury upon his or her spouse or cohabitant, or the parent of his or her child, and causes a traumatic condition. This is a general intent crime requiring only that the assaultive act be intended. No specific intent to cause a traumatic injury is required.
