is the obtaining of the property of another by use of false pretenses. The elements of this crime are: (1) Intent to defraud; (2) actual fraud committed; (3) use of false pretenses to perpetrate the fraud; and (4) reliance on the false pretenses by the victim parting with the property. Included within this crime category may be: computer crimes; bank fraud; cell phone fraud; counterfeiting; insurance fraud; investment fraud; mail fraud; credit card fraud; and identity theft.
